Our vehicles will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning to begin…
We depart early in the morning for the Peninsula Valdés Protected Natural Area, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. After a one-hour journey, we arrive at the picturesque ecological village of Puerto Pirámides to embark and enjoy the traditional regular whale watching program for southern right whales between June and November, or for sea lions and cormorants between December and March (included). We then head to Estancia San Lorenzo, a traditional Patagonian cattle ranch home to the world’s largest Magellanic penguin colony. Lunch is served (not included) with exquisite spit-roasted lamb, and we will have the opportunity to visit the penguin colony located 7 km from the estancia (included). From San Lorenzo, we travel to the Punta Norte Reserve to observe, depending on the season, sea lions, southern elephant seals, and occasionally orcas. From there, we begin our return to Puerto Madryn, stopping at the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center, a showcase of the peninsula’s natural wealth. During the excursion, we have a great chance of observing terrestrial wildlife, such as guanacos, rhinoceroses, foxes, maras, armadillos, and skunks.
