San Lorenzo, Penguins Land
North point, Península Valdés

San Lorenzo farm is located 160 km from the city of Puerto Madryn and 17 km from the fauna reserve Punta Norte. It covers an area of 5,134 hectares with 4,600 metres of shores on the Golfo San Matías, which is the place where more than 200,000 Magellan Penguins come to reproduce year after year, thus becoming one of the colonies of Magellan Penguins of greatest population growth.

Since 2003, San Lorenzo farm has formed part of the Protected Natural Area of Península Valdés as a Management Unit, becoming thus the first farm on Península in getting such category.

Those who visit San Lorenzo can enjoy the interpretative path to the penguins rookery, the fossils trail, the Visitors’ Centre and the dining-room, where you can have the typical Patagonian lamb cooked in a spit. You do every activity in the company of a park keeper from the Management Unit. The facilities are accessible to physically handicapped people, the blind and people with sight problems.
